This post explains how to export your NFTs from Crossmint to your MetaMask wallet. You can export your NFTs to any Ethereum wallet, but this post focuses on MetaMask.
If you haven't minted your NFTs yet, you can find that walkthrough here.
1) Download MetaMask
If you already have MetaMask, you can skip to step 3.
If you don’t have MetaMask yet, we’d recommend downloading it via Chrome on your desktop. MetaMask is a browser extension (or app) that creates a wallet/address on the blockchain for you.
Make sure you’re downloading from the official website: https://metamask.io
2) Set Up Wallet
MetaMask has a great walkthrough to set up your wallet, so just follow their steps carefully. They will provide you with a seed phrase, and it’s important that you never share your seed phrase with anyone, ever.
Copy your seed phrase down (with pen & paper) and keep it somewhere safe. Your seed phase is the only thing that can claim your wallet if you lose your computer, phone, etc.
3) Start Export
Once you’ve set up your MetaMask, you can safely copy & share your wallet address. Copy the address and head back over to Crossmint.
Open your NFT on Crossmint, and click the Export button.
In the Export window, click Add wallet.
Enter your wallet address in the Recipient wallet field.
Click the Save wallet button.
Once your wallet has been added + saved, you can click the Export button.
Boom! You should see Export initiated. Your NFT is on your way to you very own wallet.
You may want to connect to OpenSea (the largest NFT marketplace) so that you can get alerts for any offers made on your NFT, or list your NFT for sale.
Your NFTs may be hidden by default. You can unhide your NFTs by going to your profile and clicking the More tab.
Once you've clicked Hidden, you can view your NFT, click the 3 dots in the bottom right, and then click Unhide.
